Der Zweck wird beispielsweise verwirklicht durch: Aus- und Fortbildung der Führungskräfte und Mitarbeiter von Zivilgesellschaftsorganisationen (Hilfsorganisationen); Förderung wissenschaftlicher Vorhaben; Veranstaltungen, Veröffentlichungen; Öffentlichkeitsarbeit; Datensammlung und -dokumentation; Internationalen Austausch; Unterstützung von Zivilgesellschaftsorganisationen (Hilfsorganisationen). Zweck der Gesellschaft ist auch, Mittel für die eigenen Aktivitäten zu beschaffen sowie für andere steuerbegünstigte Körperschaften oder für Körperschaften des öffentlichen Rechts, die diese Geld- und Sachmittel zur Verwirklichung ihrer steuerbegünstigten Zwecke einzusetzen haben.
