Die Gesellschaft erfüllt damit zugleich Aufgaben der Diakonie der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche in Bayern und der Caritas der Römisch-Katholischen Kirche in den vorgenannten Gebieten. Die Gesellschaft verfolgt ausschließlich und unmittelbar gemeinnützige Zwecke im Sinne des Abschnitts "Steuerbegünstigte Zwecke" der Abgabenordnung. Die Gesellschaft ist selbstlos tätig. Sie verfolgt nicht in erster Linie eigenwirtschaftliche Zwecke. Bei der Erfüllung ihrer Aufgaben trägt die Gesellschaft auch Sorge für ein gleichberechtigtes Miteinander von Frauen und Männern.
